Devakinandan Khatri was a great Indian writer. He was born at Samastipur, Bihar in June 18, 1861. He was son of Lala Iswardas . He was the first author of mystery novels in Hindi. He started a printing press called "Lahari" and started a Hindi monthly, "Sudarshan", in 1898. He was living in Musakhand area when he was writing Chandrakanta.He died in August 1,1913.


Chandrakanta is a famous Hindi novel which is written by Devakinandan Khatri. It is published in 1988. It is a great fantasy novel in Hindi literature.The novel is names on the main female character.

The story of Chandrakanta is a romantic fantasy about two lovers who belong to rival kingdoms : the princess Chandrakanta of Vijaygarh, and the prince Virendra Singh of Naugarh.

Ramdhari Singh Dinkar was most famous Hindi poet and patriot. He was born on 23 September 1908 at Simaria. His father was Babu Ravi Singh and mother was Manroop Devi. 

His works are mostly of 'Veer Rasa', or the 'brave mode'. He is hailed as the greatest Hindi poet of 'Veer Rasa' since Bhushan.

He received awards from Kashi Nagri Pracharini Sabha, Uttar Pradesh Government and also an award by the Government of India for his epic-poem Kurukshetra.He got the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1959 for his work Sanskriti ke Char Adhyay. He was also a recipient of Padma Bhushan in 1959 by the Government of India. Dinkar's fans widely believe that he truly deserved the honour of "Rashtra Kavi".

 He also became a nominated member of the Rajya Sabha, in 1952.

He was died on 24 April 1974 .


Kurukshetra is written by Ramdhari Singh Dinkar. Kurukshetra is a narrative poem based on the Santi Parva of the Mahabharata. It was written at a time when the memories of the Second World War were fresh in the mind of the poet.

It is considered to be the second best work of Tulsidas after the Ramcharitmanas, and is regarded as important from the viewpoints of philosophy, erudition, and eulogistic and poetic style of Tulsidas. The first 43 hymns are addressed to various deities and Rama's courtiers and attendants, and remaining are addressed to Rama.

It consists of 325 verses including 183 verses in the Uttarkand. Like the Ramcharitmanas, it is divided into seven Kands or books and many episodes in this work are different from the Ramcharitmanas.

 Dohavali (दोहावली, 1581), literally Collection of Dohas, is a work consisting of 573 miscellaneous Doha and Sortha verses mainly in Braja with some verses in Awadhi. The verses are aphorisms on topics related to tact, political wisdom, righteousness and the purpose of life. 85 Dohas from this work are also found in the Ramcharitmanas, 35 in Ramagya Prashna, two in Vairagya Sandipani and some in Rama Satsai, another work of 700 Dohas attributed to Tulsidas.

Ashoka was a great king of India . He was a  Mauryan  ruler . He was a greatest ruler of all times .

While the early part of Ashoka's reign was apparently quite bloodthirsty, he became a follower of the Buddha's teachings after his conquest of Kalinga on the east coast of India in the present-day states of Odisha and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh.
